Instructions
In a large skillet, saute
onion
in 1 tbsp
butter
until soft.
Add spices and
garlic
, and saute for one minute.
Add
parsnip
,
celery
, and
water
to cover. Simmer over medium heat until tender, about 30 minutes. Drain and reserve.
Mash and add liquid to desired consistency. Stir in remaining
butter
