Add butter and cook over medium high heat for about 1 to 2 minutes, stirring often, until golden brown. Add garlic, red pepper flake, and a few grinds of salt and pepper and sweat garlic. Add tomatoes and 3 tbsp of water and cook until tomatoes have soften and burst. Once they burst, smash burst tomatoes to help them along until liquid has thickened, about 4 to 6 minutes.
