Serrano Hot Sauce
A simple hot sauce recipe for all the chili-heads that like a mild sauce.

Ingredients

Serrano Chilis

clove
Garlic
minced

cp
Onion
thinly sliced

tsp
Vegetable Oil
2
cp
Water
1
cp
White Vinegar
Instructions
Wash, stem, slice
serranos
and combine with
garlic
,
onions
,
salt
, and
oil
. Saute over high heat for a sweat.
Add
water
and cook for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Try to evaporate most of the water.
Allow to cool to room temperature then add to food processor and puree until smooth. Add
vinegar
as it purees. Add salt if necessary.
Strain mixture through sieve.
