Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F
Rinse inside of
turkey
with cold water, dry with paper towel and sprinkle inside with salt.
Melt
butter
in a medium skillet and add
onion
,
celery
, and
mushrooms
. Cook until soft, NOT OVER COOKED.
In a large bowl, combined
veggies
and
bread
and add
chicken broth
a little at a time not to over do it. Add
bell’s seasoning
and
eggs
.
Wrap stuffing in
cheese cloth
and tie off. Heat stuffing for 5 minutes in microwave.
While stuffing is heating, rub down
turkey
with
vegetable oil
and sprinkle with
salt
.
Quickly stuff
turkey
with hot stuffing, placing a piece of bread in the opening to keep in.
Cook
turkey
for 3 hours covered, remove foil and cook an additional hour.
